Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You can withdraw at any time any consent you have already given. The withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Right to object to data collection (Art. 21 GDPR)

If the data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. If you object, we will no longer process the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing (objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing; if you object, your data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21(2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority

In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

The competent supervisory authority for us is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information), Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to contact data published under the legal notice obligation being used to send advertising material and information material that have not been expressly requested. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use tracking cookies. The local storage of your browser (localStorage) is used solely to record that you have closed the notice about cookies, so that it does not appear again each time you visit. This information does not leave your device and is not transmitted to third parties. Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Enquiries by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it, will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

Contact form

On this website you can send us a message using a form. If you would like a first consultation, we ask for some information that makes it easier for us to prepare – for example, whether you have statutory or private health insurance, how long you have been wishing to have a child and whether any treatments have already taken place. This information is data concerning health; we process it only with your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR.

The form does not transmit anything to our server. It compiles an email from your entries and uses it to open your email program. Only when you press “Send” there does the message leave your device. Until then, we have no knowledge of your information.

For technical reasons, the information is contained in the address used to open your email program. Depending on the settings of your device, it may therefore be stored in the browser history or in system logs on your own device. If you would like to avoid this, please feel free to call us.

Your message is an appointment request, not an appointment booking. We will call you in any case; the appointment is arranged by telephone.

If no appointment is arranged, we delete the email after fourteen days. If an appointment is arranged, your data is transferred to our patient management system; the statutory retention periods for treatment records apply to this data. As soon as you become a patient with us, you will receive a separate privacy policy for signature.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for handling your enquiry, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR for the health information.

Online appointment booking

Appointments are booked via reg.fertilitaet.de, a booking portal of the provider MedHub; the portal is connected to our practice software. By clicking on “Book an appointment” you leave our site and are redirected to the external portal. The provider’s privacy policy applies to the data processing that takes place there. We have no influence on the data processing that takes place there. Legal basis for the redirection: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

5. Plugins and tools

Fonts (hosted locally)

This website uses locally stored fonts (Cormorant Garamond, DM Sans). No data is transferred to Google or other external servers. All font files are delivered exclusively from our own server.

Google Maps

This website does not embed Google Maps. In the footer you will find our address and a link “Open in Google Maps”. Only when you click this link does Google Maps open in a new tab and is data transferred to Google. Google’s privacy policy applies to the processing there. Merely visiting our pages does not result in any transfer to Google.
